VISEU ADVOGADOS GAINS SPOTLIGHT DUE TO SECONDMENT MODEL
Over the past two years, flourishing São Paulo-based law firm Viseu Advogados has allocated over 200 attorneys within corporate legal departments via secondments. In 2019, the firm created a specialized division, Viseu Secondment, which has increasingly caught the attention of the Brazilian legal market for its novel business model which, despite currently being a global trend, remains innovative on a domestic level.
Secondments are an efficient and economic way of meeting the human resources needs of in-house legal counsel in specific scenarios, such as maternity leaves, a sudden lack of headcount, an extraordinary increase of workload as well as new special projects. Led by seasoned partner Carla Freire Moreira Silveiro, Viseu Advogados’ specialized department currently has over 40 multidisciplinary attorneys within its secondment pool which can be allocated to internal legal departments for short and medium term projects.
